Course Checklist

Information for those who have been accepted at a 10-day meditation course in Singapore

Confirmation for Application

A confirmation email or letter is sent to all successful applicants. Successful or unsuccessful applications will be notified. If you do not hear from us after two weeks you have submitted your application, please contact us.

As soon as you receive the course confirmation from us, if you find that you are unable to attend the course, please let us know. For cancellation, please email or contact us. A week before the course, a reconfirmation email will be sent to you. Please reply to the email so that we are sure that you are coming.

Arrival & Departure Information

All students are asked to arrive between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. on the day the course begins. After registration is completed, a light meal and orientation will precede the start of the course. The course will end at approximately 9:00 a.m. on the last day of the course. All new students, as well as old (returning) students taking a full course, are required to remain until the very end of the course.

Items to Bring to Your Course

Please bring the items listed below.

Clothing

Clothing for the duration of your stay. Laundry service is not available but students can do their own handwashing. All students should observe the rules for modest dress as outlined in the Code of Discipline booklet. Shorts, tank tops, transparent, tight or revealing clothing, etc. are not permitted.

Toiletries

Towel, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, unscented deodorant, shaving and sanitary supplies, etc. For the comfort of other students, please do not use scented perfumes, creams, powder, shaving lotions, etc.

Other Items

Umbrella, small travel alarm clock, flashlight and batteries, unscented mosquito repellent, liquid laundry soap and house slippers are useful inside in the room. Simple bedsheet, pillowcase and blanket are available at the centre.

Foreigners

Please bring along your passport and a photocopy of the pages with your personal and passport details.

NOT to Bring

Students are asked NOT to bring the following items to the course

  • No books, writing materials, valuables, jewelry
  • No personal food (food and beverages will be provided)
  • No cigarettes, cigars, illegal drugs, etc
  • No religious related objects
  • No mobile phones, pagers, laptop computers, palm pilots.
